He is Clinical Associate Professor in the Bipolar Disorders Clinic at Stanford University Department of Psychiatry, where he conducts clinical research in bipolar and depressive disorders. His many lectures and numerous manuscripts have advanced this field.
His practice model begins with a careful and complete, patient-centered, biopsychosocial, diagnostic evaluation. Treatment planning is then multimodal. Pharmacological treatments are guided by evidence-based research and direct patient input.
